This house, built at the top of a hill, bridges several distinct architectural traditions. The long, single-gable form references the 1897 Shingle Style Lowe House, by McKim Mead & White, while the exposed steel columns and sliver-shaped entry hall are distinctly modern concepts. Materials include mahogany countertops in the kitchen, locally milled red oak floors, and locally quarried green slate.
