BPA+D designed a new retail outlet and updated several spaces for the Red Cross in downtown San Francisco, including improving an existing boardroom. The store gives the brand a visible presence on the street and is an outlet for emergency service products. In the boardroom, it was essential that the board be able to sit at a single, very long table, which required the table to be placed diagonally. BPA+D used design elements to make the angled placement of the table look intentional, exposing the building-scaled diagonal steel seismic braces and adding a bold light fixture fashioned from Unistrut and perforated stainless steel.
